FAQ

How analyses, Technicals, Premium, the Circle, and Treasury airdrops actually work.

The basics

What is Proteus Labs?
Proteus Labs is a Solana token research lab. Paste a contract and get a full reading: mint/freeze authorities, holders, liquidity, volume, social/community signal, a Technicals tab (1h RSI, MACD, EMAs, Bollinger, Fib, support/resistance), and an AI-assisted risk take. You can also deep-dive a wallet on Portfolio, browse public scans in the Observatory, discover LP-screened pools on Radar, and earn a share of the Treasury airdrop pool. Research and entertainment only — not financial advice.
Do I need an account?
No email, no password. You connect a Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare, and other wallet-standard wallets) and your wallet address is your identity. Connecting only proves you control the wallet — it never gives us the ability to move your funds.
Is this financial advice?
No. Risk scores, Technicals, Circle signals, and AI commentary are research aids and entertainment. Tokens flagged as low risk can still go to zero, and flagged tokens can pump. Always do your own research and never risk more than you can afford to lose.

Analyses & tools

What is Radar?
Radar is the LP desk for signed-in wallets: near-real-time Solana pools harvested from the market, screened for structure and traction, then ranked for LP research. Each mode is a separate desk: Institutional (established, no launchpads), Core (Raydium / Orca / Meteora), Active (live flow), Early (young heat). Opening a row runs a paid analyze on Liquidity — not return promises.
What do I get in a token analysis?
A full desk report for the mint: a Safety tab (exit traps, Token-2022 / authority flags, LP & deployer context), holders (including cluster / early-bag / flagged wallets from the same scan — not a Forensics dive), liquidity, Circle signal, Proteus AI narrative, and Technicals. First 3 scans are free (teaser Oracle); Premium scans include the full Oracle and earn 10 Airdrop Points.
How is the Risk Score calculated?
The Risk Score is a 0–100 style rating from live structure — not a price prediction. It starts from a baseline and adds or subtracts points for things like mint/freeze authority, Token-2022 traps (transfer hook, permanent delegate, closable, etc.), top-holder concentration, liquidity depth, LP lock / unlock timing, transfer tax, creator/insider holdings, early concentration, token age, RugCheck / GoPlus flags, and a small nudge from X when available. The final number is labeled: under 40 = Low, 40–59 = Medium, 60–79 = High, 80+ = Extreme. The Safety and Oracle tabs break those factors down — the AI narrative doesn't invent the score.
What is the Technicals tab?
After you analyze a token, open the Technicals tab for a 1h chart snapshot from GeckoTerminal on the primary pool: RSI (14), MACD (12/26/9), EMAs, Bollinger Bands, volume context, support/resistance, and Fib levels. The still-forming candle is dropped so indicators aren't skewed by incomplete bars. If the pool is brand new with thin history, full RSI/MACD/EMA50 may be limited until more hourly candles exist.
What does a portfolio scan show?
On Portfolio, we pull your wallet's holdings, deeper recent activity (transfers, buys/sells via enhanced history), realized SOL PnL where we can infer it, bag-health roll-ups, and per-token structural flags (liquidity, mint/freeze, RugCheck). Premium desk — one scan per wallet every 30 minutes — balances and prices refresh each run; sticky mint/rug facts may reuse a short cache. Your first scan each UTC day also earns 5 Airdrop Points.
What is the Observatory?
The Observatory is the public feed of contracts scanned in the lab — risk scores, flags, and Proteus takes. Expand any scan for stats, liquidity, holders, and commentary. Connect a wallet to endorse or flag in the Circle.
What is the Docket?
The Docket is the public feed of wallet forensics that someone chose to publish — dives stay private until you hit Publish. If a published dive names a wallet that is also on the Docket, those analyses sit in the same ring automatically. Anyone signed in with a wallet can add tags from an expanded dive on the Docket (up to 32) — related wallet addresses or names like a factory ring, a team, a funding tree. Publishing posts the full report for anyone to read; you can unpublish later. The publisher can remove tags.

Premium

What do I get for free?
Three token scans per connected wallet — full Safety, Stats, Holders, LP, and Technicals, with a short Oracle teaser. After that, token scans, portfolio, forensics, Watch, LP moves, Radar pulse refresh, Circle votes, and live Observatory numbers need Premium.
What does Premium cost and include?
$49.99 for a 30-day pass or $399.99 for 365 days (Most Popular — about two months free vs paying monthly). Token scans with the full Oracle: 300 per UTC month on Monthly, or 500 on Annual. Forensics is one Deep dive: 30 per month, or 40 on Annual. Also included: Watch inbox, LP moves, Radar pulse refresh, Portfolio, Circle votes, Observatory live numbers, and airdrop eligibility (1.5× weight on Annual). Pay in SOL, $ANSEM, or $PBTC from the Premium. The wallet will not auto-renew — you buy another pass when it ends. Payment splits on-chain: 70% Treasury, 30% Ops.
Can I get a refund on Premium?
No. Premium payments are final once the on-chain transfer confirms. See the Terms of Service.
What happens if a scan fails?
If a token scan or forensics dive errors after we counted it, we put that use back on your monthly cap (or free-scan count). Empty wallets never count. That is not a payment refund.

Airdrop Points & airdrops

How do I earn Airdrop Points?
Analyzing a token earns 10 points. Your first portfolio scan each UTC day earns 5 points. Referrals earn 50+ points per invite (more at higher tiers), and anyone who joins with your code starts with 25 welcome points. Points never expire.
What is the Treasury?
The Treasury is the on-chain airdrop wallet only. When you buy Premium, 70% of that payment goes there in the same transaction — that balance is what funds Circle airdrops. The other 30% goes to a separate Ops wallet for API and company costs. Holdings labeled Treasury on the site are airdrop-wallet funds, not Ops.
How do airdrops work?
Airdrops are paid only from the Treasury pool in roughly monthly epochs across SOL, $ANSEM, and $PBTC. Your share of each pool is proportional to your weight: Airdrop Points × referral boost × activity multiplier (up to ×1.5 for very active wallets that epoch — scans, votes, purchases, and referrals count). Tiny shares below the dust threshold are skipped so gas isn't wasted. This is a percent of each pool, not a fixed points-to-token rate.
Who is eligible for airdrops?
Wallets with Premium coverage during the epoch window — a monthly pass that overlaps it, or an annual that still covers those dates. Free scans don't count. Annual adds 1.5× weight. If you sit an epoch out, your points remain. Airdrops are discretionary rewards, not guaranteed income.
How do referrals work?
Share your code from the Referrals page. When someone joins with it, you earn Airdrop Points (more at higher tiers) and a referral boost that multiplies your airdrop weight. They get 25 welcome points. Boosts stack with activity for your drop share.

The Circle (community signal)

What is the Circle?
The Circle is the community layer on each token page: eligible wallets endorse or flag a token, optionally with a note and an evidence link. Votes are weighted by Airdrop Points and roll up into a community signal shown alongside the on-chain risk score — and on-chain risk always overrides a green community badge.
What are the voting requirements?
You need at least 10 Airdrop Points, at least 1 completed analysis, and a wallet older than 12 hours. Votes also spend Airdrop Points (10 to endorse, 25 to flag) on top of the credit cost — those points are deducted and not returned. Max 8 votes per day and a 6-hour cooldown before changing a stance. These limits exist to keep brigading and sybil farming expensive.
Why do flags require a note?
A flag is an accusation, so it needs substance: a clear explanation and ideally a Solscan/transaction link as evidence. Rage clicks without reasoning are rejected. Notes and evidence links are shown publicly on the token's analysis page.

Security & data

Is connecting my wallet safe?
Connecting shares only your public address. We never ask for your seed phrase or private key — anyone who does is scamming you. The only transactions you'll ever sign are Premium payments you initiate yourself, and you can review every detail in your wallet before approving.
What data do you store?
Your wallet address, Premium coverage, point balances, usage events (analyses, scans, votes), referral relationships, and payment transaction signatures. No emails, names, or private keys. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
